    Source System baramundi Management Suite (bMS)

    01. Introduction

    There is a general documentation available for the EBF Onboarder, where you can find information about its prerequisites and the whole migration project. It describes how you can setup a migration project, how you can setup invitation emails and reminders which guide your users through the migration. It also tells you how to initiate the migration process and how to track the migration status.

    This documentation complements the general EBF Onboarder documentation and provides more detailed information for the source system Baramundi Management Suite (bMS)) about:

    • the prerequisites for the source system,
    • about the device selection during the migration project setup

    02. Prerequisites for the source system Baramundi

    02.1. Prerequisites for the source system

    To be able to migrate devices from the source system we need the following information and prework:

    • The EBF Onboarder (app-out.ebf.com or ip 62.138.245.79) needs to be able reach the source system on port 443.
    • The credentials of a Baramundi administrator.
    • An unenroll job.
      To be able to unenroll devices from the Baramundi system by the EBF Onboarder we need a Baramundi “Job”.
    • How to create the job
      Open the Baramundi Management Center, click on the Baramundi icon in the top left and open Jobs.
      • Press the “+ New” button and select “Job for mobile or macOS device“

        The job needs to have one of the following words in the
        Job name:
        retire and device
        or
        unenrol and device
        or
        gerät and entfernenJob options:
        Execute job can be set to regardless of the compliance state
        On the left, below Steps click on “+ Add steps”.
        Next, within Profile management click on Uninstall profile.
        On the next screen you need to select the Management Profile sent to the devices, typically the “Mobile Device management” profile and press Select
        Press Save.

        NOTE: The job does not need to be available in the Kiosk mode

      • A wipe Job
        To create a job for wiping, you need to perform the same steps as above, but:As job name the following keywords in the job name needs to be used:wipe and device
        or
        reset and device
        or
        gerät and zurücksetzenIn the + Add step configuration you need to add the step “Wipe device/company data” from Device operation.
        With the steps and information above you will be able to use the EBF Onboarder for the Source baramundi Management Suite (bMS).
