EBF is proud to announce the release of EBF Contacts for iOS and Android version 2.2.0.
The EBF Contacts app makes it easier to reach colleagues on mobile devices.

01. What’s new

The new EBF Contacts app brings new functionalities:

  • New advanced filter for company
  • New switch to import all contacts from CSV/JSON, e.g. without email addresses or duplicate email addresses
  • Show contact business address for personal contacts
  • New optimized flow for importing contacts from Exchange On-Premise servers

02. Fixed issues

  • Fixed a problem with AD group filtered O365 Contacts in combination with Contacts from CSV/JSON file
  • Fixed a problem with exporting the same contact multiple times
  • Fixed a problem with fetching contacts from Exchange On-Premise address list IDs
  • Fixed a problem with jumping to Call Blocking screen in iOS settings
  • Several small fixes

03. Known problems

  • Caller list detail screen of iOS showing truncated/incomplete name of the caller
  • NTLM login to Exchange On-Premise server with self signed certificate and/or Extended Protection not possible

EBF Contacts for iOS requires iOS 16 / iPadOS 16 or newer operating system and is designed for iPhone. EBF Contacts for Android requires Android 13 or newer operating system.
Connection to Exchange O365, Exchange On-Premise (2016 or higher) or HubSpot is needed to synchronize contact data.

The EBF Contacts app makes it easier to reach colleagues on mobile devices.

01. What’s new

The new EBF Contacts app brings new functionalities:

  • Show Teams (presence) status for contacts (O365)
  • Initial O365 data loading can be skipped to enter main screen before sync is finished
  • Filter contacts by data source
  • Merge contact data for duplicates in different data sources
  • Introduced a new flow for filtering contacts by AD groups, which is faster in specific scenarios
  • Support personal/organizational contacts without email addresses
  • Introduced new parameters to better control download timeouts and parallel request handling for Exchange On-Premises data source

02. Fixed issues

  • Fixed a problem where O365 and ZIP data are not showing up together
  • Fixed a problem with contacts on Android showing data in wrong fields
  • Fixed a problem with showing personal contacts
  • Several small fixes

03. Known problems

  • On iOS jumping to Caller-ID settings is currently not possible, going to app settings root

  • New anonymous authentication for O365 (“office365Secret”)
  • Encryption password can be deactivated via config parameter (“deactivateAppEncryption”)
  • Caller ID support for Android tablets
  • Introduce support for Workspace One Boxer mail client
  • Introduce support for Blackberry mail client
  • Contacts search now expects min. 3 characters to be entered for larger Contact database

  • Fixed a problem with Email+ on Android
  • Fixed a problem with QR code feature when there are no credentials of a user
  • Several small fixes
