01. What is EBF Files

1 min read

EBF Files is a mobile solution allowing secure access from iOS or Android devices to files within an enterprise infrastructure file server or from cloud storage solutions. Files are aggregated in an intuitive and simple container interface in the app. They can be shared with others and even be accessed offline. The solution also allows to upload, cache, view and edit files within the app or through third-party applications. Collaboration from anywhere is simplified.

EBF Files is typically deployed through a Mobile Device Management system (MDM/EMM/UEM) to offer in-app data tunneling to the required backend file servers, as well as app specific parameters that can be dynamically configured for the UEM users. The UEM administrator must make these apps available to be pushed as managed apps to fully customize the EBF Files app experience with configuration pushed to your employees and users.

Access to files is personalized and authorized by the enterprise directory and Device Management systems. Administration overhead is minimized by leveraging in place Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365 and UEM policies, combining functionality to bring files to the users securely and conveniently. iOS and Android users experience an identical and synchronized experience across devices.

EBF Files app is available in the Apple App Store for iOS version 15 and above, or Google Play Store for Android 12 and up.

Read this document to learn how to use EBF Files app to simplify, mobilize and even invent new business workflows.
